Cue's N Cushion
Delta, Canada
A family-oriented recreation hub in Delta, completed in summer 2025, with board games, arcade play, pool tables and comfort food under one roof.
Ment led the design from demolition to final execution: space planning, layout, material selection and furniture curation. Concrete, wood and brick meet refined grey fixtures, and the emerald-tiled bar anchors the room.

The drawings, the decisions and the follow-through
You hire a firm for the documents and the coordination that turn a design into a finished space. Renovation and construction companies bring Julieta in on their own clients’ projects, and point to a streamlined process and designs that balance good looks with daily use.
In her words, her role is “to understand my clients: the way they live, what they love, what they need, and even what they may not yet know how to express.”

Book a consultationWhat an interior design firm delivers
The scope depends on the project. A room refresh may need a furniture plan and selections. A full renovation needs the complete set of drawings, schedules and site coordination. We work across Metro Vancouver, from Kitsilano character houses and Vancouver Specials to Yaletown lofts and new townhomes along the Cambie corridor.

Renovation design and drawings
A renovation runs on drawings. We produce the set your contractor prices and builds from, so decisions happen on paper, where changes cost the least.
- Space plans and furniture layouts drawn to scale
- Elevations for kitchens, bathrooms and built-ins
- Lighting and electrical positions
- A finish schedule for flooring, tile, paint and hardware

New builds with your architect
On a new build, we join while your architect or builder is still drawing. Interior drawings slot into their set, and millwork, storage and lighting get resolved before framing.
- Interior drawings coordinated with the architectural set
- Millwork and storage designed with the plans
- A lighting plan your electrician prices from

Luxury homes and custom millwork
Higher-end homes carry longer lead times and more custom pieces. We specify the materials, draw the millwork and track orders so the install lands in sequence.
- Custom cabinetry and millwork drawings
- Stone, timber and metal finishes sourced and sampled
- Lead times tracked against the construction schedule

Condos and townhomes
Condo work starts with the strata’s bylaws and the size of the elevator. We plan storage, lighting and furniture inside a fixed footprint.
- Space planning for open-plan units
- Drawings prepared for your strata council
- Deliveries booked around building rules

Room makeovers
Some rooms need a new plan, not a renovation. We rework layout, lighting and furniture without moving walls.

Colour consultation
Vancouver’s grey months change how colour reads. We test paint in your own light and set one palette for the house.

Home organizing
Storage that fails brings the clutter back. We plan where things live and build a system around your routines.

Interior decorator
Plenty of projects need no contractor. Our decorating work covers the finishing layer that makes a room feel complete.
- Colour palettes tested in your own light
- Furniture sourcing, including pieces you already own
- Window coverings, rugs and lighting
- Art, accessories and the final styling
A full-home decorating project runs 4 to 8 months from design sign-off.

Commercial and corporate interiors
We design offices, hospitality and customer-facing spaces around the lease, the brand and the way staff and customers use the room.
- Space planning and finish specification
- Furniture and fixture procurement
- Contract drawings for permit submission
- On-site coordination with your contractor and landlord

Commercial interior designHow a project with Ment runs
01 Inquiry
Tell us about the space, your timeline and what you want to change. Photos and a floor plan help if you have them.
02 Discovery call
A 15-minute call to learn about the project and confirm we are the right fit before anyone books a visit.
03 Site walkthrough
We visit in person to measure, see the light at the time of day you use each space, and understand how it works today.
04 Proposal
A written proposal with scope, timeline and fees, based on the space we have seen. You know the cost before design work starts.
05 Design and specification
Layouts, finishes, lighting and furniture, set out in drawings and a finish schedule. You review and approve the design before we order anything.
06 Contractor selection
We introduce trades we trust and help you compare quotes against the drawings. You make the final decision.
07 Build, install and reveal
We coordinate the trades and deliveries, answer questions from site, then style the finished space. The last visit is a walkthrough together to list anything outstanding.

Ask about your areaFrequently asked questions
What should I ask an interior design firm before hiring?
Ask an interior design firm how it sets its fee, who designs your project, what the scope includes and what costs extra, and how long design and construction each take. Ask to see drawings from a past project too, since drawings show whether a contractor could build from the firm's work without guessing.
What is the difference between an interior design firm and an interior decorator?
An interior design firm produces plans, drawings and specifications for layout, millwork, lighting and finishes, and coordinates with the trades who build them. A decorator focuses on colour, furniture and styling inside the existing structure. Ment does both.
Does Ment design both homes and businesses in Vancouver?
Yes. Vancouver homes and workplaces run through the same Ment process: a discovery call and walkthrough, then drawings, sourcing and install.
How early should I contact an interior design firm?
Contact an interior design firm before construction drawings are final. On a renovation, that means before demolition. On a new build, it means while your architect or builder is still drawing the plans.
Do you work with my architect or builder?
Yes. Architects and builders receive interior drawings and specifications from us that fit their set, and we answer questions from site during construction.
How does Ment quote an interior design project?
Ment quotes each project after a discovery call and a site walkthrough, so the scope and fee reflect the space. You receive a written proposal before any design work starts.
Which areas does your firm serve?
We serve Vancouver, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, Coquitlam, Port Moody, Port Coquitlam, Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge. Video calls work for early conversations, and we walk the space in person before we quote.
Tell us about your space
Every project starts with a conversation about how you want to live or work in the space. Bring us the room, the floor plan or the whole house.
